The shaft for Sulzer WPP series pumps is manufactured from high-grade materials to ensure high strength, corrosion resistance, and long service life under heavy-duty working conditions.
Carbon & Alloy Steel
For clean water and general applications, we use 45# carbon steel, 40Cr and 42CrMo alloy steel.
They feature high tensile strength, good fatigue resistance and stable performance, ideal for standard working conditions.
Stainless Steel
For corrosive media such as seawater, acids and alkalis, 316L stainless steel is applied.
It provides excellent anti-rust and anti-corrosion performance for chemical and marine applications.
Duplex Stainless Steel
For abrasive slurries and harsh environments, 2205 / 2507 duplex stainless steel is available.
It offers higher strength, better erosion resistance and long service life in mining and heavy-duty conditions.
